California Drought Authority

Website

This website is for a conceptual organization called The California Drought Authority. This client’s goals were to provide the public clear and concise water conservation measures as well as providing a way for the public to connect with their water agency seamlessly. I was the sole designer of this project with exception to the typefaces and some stock photography (my own and some provided by the client).

Ideation

Being that this is essentially a governement website, I began by researching existing sites similar to this (there were none at the time this project was developed). From there I created personas and use cases, which helped influence the site's overall flow and style. The site's codebase is partially based on my Gumdrop v3 framework; however it is tailored for that website only. Fig. 1 below shows some of my mood board, style tiles, and personas.

This is a collage of ideation materials used to craft the California Drought Authority website.
