Lets try this again.

Happy New Year, Happy New Decade! Most new readers will not be reading this until The Log launches later this month. So if you’re reading this, thank you for taking the time to visit or revisit my log.

Before I delve into what this is all about, I want to take a look back at 2019. The folks at Vox Media have created look back that sums up the year, see it below.

In my own life, I undertook several major changes: I moved, I lost my job (not my own doing), I began investing in stocks, and most importantly, I began working on my mental health.

I won’t bore you with the details, but I am a much happier person entering the new year than I was entering 2019. The change of entering 2020 is different from 2010 is slightly different. I try not to regret decisions I’ve taken, but there are two that I ultimately regret: Putting my work ahead of friendships, and not speaking about my internal struggles to others (sooner).

This year is a new beginning to make better decisions, reconnect with those around me, and most importantly, self-care.
